Leadership is being yourself in new ways. Identifying these ways is the first step in accessing them in different situations or having the conviction to follow them in others.
This is a living thought; a few that have been useful in conversations are the executive self, goal setting, planning, and dispatching of attention self. The doing self is the one that does what it knows to do, what you went to school for. It is comfortable, steady, and consistent. The thinking self develops, puts language on ideas, and gives thoughts space to grow. As I type these words, I can visualize their connectivity, which I feel is better discussed in conversation.
I invite you to draw these out (like a system map) and jot down their connectivity.
