Objectivity
Objectivity is another name for clarity. It is a communication mechanism. Something that has not happened yet (future, imagination, an idea) cannot be objective. This realization is liberating and taxing at the same time. It means that (1) your idea can be valuable (2) if you bring its reality into being.
Something that has not happened yet will not lend itself to (/algorithmic) authority, judgement. It means that the future is subjective (not fully clear) communication between (“interplanetary”, individuated) interpretations. Forcing (pseudo) clarity on your professional experience is a distraction. This clarity is never true, because as a living individual you’re always changing, and are never stationary in your value. Creativity is subjective and embodied, production is objective and disembodied.
This week, I invite you to consider moments you wish you could drop into an inner place thinking.
