Motivation
Meaning and motivation are the same.
When we write, we seek to convey meaning. It is the fuel of connection and the currency of creativity. Communication without meaning is disembodied and transactional. If we want to do good work with thoughtful people for good money, we must follow the meaning (of ideas, communication, moments).
Motivation is the starting point of every change.
It is the ability to think creatively, navigate sameness between the cost of change, and author new ways of being.
Learning to see meaning will allow us to seek and communicate it. Motivation can become abundant when we allow ourselves to follow meaning, especially when we have the space to innovate in our practice to align this process with making a living.
This week, I invite you to consider where you check for your motivation.
