You can’t create change without leaving the bounds of your profession. An outside-in perspective is necessary to view the invisible lines of culture that drive and sometimes limit your field.
When you are ready to leave the bounds of your profession, you should be prepared to be inspired, but only if you’re willing to loosen your gaze and expect something, but nothing specific. Achievements will be useless; you must find others who can traverse across fields if you want to fit in. Your language might be clunky, and confusion (/meaning) might be your ally rather than precise knowledge.
Axioms:
There is only change with an outside-in perspective.
Confusion is meaning yet to be integrated.
