Change is easiest for the self. It slows down the more people we involve when it will need to deal with the friction of language, culture, and status quo.
Groups, by being groups, resist change. When we change (our minds or views), we rarely need to find the words to differentiate the meaning we now see.
If we want to share (enroll) others in this meaning, we must find language (or experiences) to show this delta.
The further we move from our place of thinking (say in written asynchronous communication or other types of artifacting), the more we ought to manage our expectations for change.
Change groups creat action in the world but not the self; as a change agent, seeking numbers (/scale) might distract you from how you want to exist. Growth in meaning is not growth in numbers.
